Cure all diseases and make society healthy
Create a technological innovation by mobilizing scienctific assets
Currently, many diseases in the world are considered incurable. Despite the day-and-night advancements in science and technology working to unravel these mysteries, developing a definitive cure remains fraught with challenges. Japan once proudly bore the title of a technological powerhouse, leading the scientific community across various fields. However, as Nobel laureates from Japan often point out in their press conferences, the decline in basic research capabilities in Japan has become more pronounced in recent years. This issue became starkly apparent during the unprecedented disaster of the COVID-19 pandemic, as Japan fell significantly behind other countries in developing treatments for the coronavirus.
We have formed a team with the cooperation of many individuals involved in cutting-edge technologies, including medicine, biology, chemistry, and physics. We aim to harness the collective knowledge from across Japan to vigorously advance the development of treatments for various diseases.
Develop curative drugs by analysing phase separation
Human life activities are supported by the activities of various cells. It has been recently discovered that the human body is not only governed by biomolecules such as proteins functioning individually but also by the phase separation phenomenon, where these molecules form clusters and express their functions. While the involvement of phase separation phenomena in various diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is being elucidated, conventional measurement techniques are unable to accurately capture these phenomena.
Our core team is conducting research in the cutting-edge field of capturing phase separation phenomena. We aim to establish phase separation drug discovery, following antibody drugs and protein-protein interaction drug discovery.
Changing society through new work style
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, work styles have diversified globally. In addition to the traditional format of commuting to an office for work, the new option of remote work has emerged, making it possible to collaborate in real-time from different locations. Even now, with the COVID-19 situation somewhat under control, many companies continue to utilize remote work.
We operate a decentralized organization centered in Nara Prefecture, where our headquarters are located, and extend throughout Japan. By effectively utilizing each environment and time, we aim not only to aggregate academic technology seeds, which has been difficult until now, but also to achieve sustainable and productive growth by providing ideal working environments for each employee at different life stages.
